Produced by Howard Billerman Mixed by Dan Weston
Biography
Broadcast Failure is a bona fide Rock & Roll band based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The 2025 Music PEI award nominated EP Naught for Nothing explored elements of folk-rock and alt-country; however, the group has made a deliberate shift into guitar-driven power-pop.
Influenced by underground heroes such as Big Star, The Replacements, and The Lemon Twigs, Broadcast Failure combines their strong melodic sensibilities with expressive guitar work, which is backed up by a hard hitting rhythm section. The result is music that is both personal and immediate, grounded in traditional rock sounds while keeping a contemporary tone.
Their latest release ‘For You Were at the Helm’ was produced by Howard Billerman (Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade) and mixed by Dan Weston (Daniel Romano, City and Colour, Paper Lions). The single was accompanied by a live video which sees the band perform inside a local Charlottetown tattoo parlour.
With the newest single, video and a spot opening for Toronto's By Divine Right, 2026 is shaping up to be a breakout year for Broadcast Failure.
